Alison Stone is a poet, visual artist, and the creator of The Stone Tarot.

She has published eight books of poetry and three chapbooks. Her poems have appeared in The Paris Review, Poetry, Ploughshares, Poetry International, Poet Lore, and a variety of other journals and anthologies. She has been awarded Poetry’s Frederick Bock Prize and New York Quarterly’s Madeline Sadin Award.

Ms. Stone’s paintings focus on color to evoke emotional and spiritual states. She has exhibited her paintings in a variety of galleries, museums, and other venues in London, MA, RI, and NY.

She spent nine years producing oil paintings of the 78 images of the tarot, which were produced as The Stone Tarot.

She is a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in New York.
